Winter Southern Bluefin in Perth?

 Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows whether we get the same sort of run of SBT's like the east and south coasts in winter?

Ive caught a few smaller specimens in the warmer months, but wondering if it's worth a crack out deep on a calm winters day?

A couple years ago we had a good run of them over autumn and winter. Havent caught any since but probably more because we havent been trolling a lot this year. Caught behind Garden and Carnac Islands between about 26-34m.

Remember that. They were there , the whole year through.

Since my metro mac failure ,summer gone , I've not run a troll out. haven't heard any reports myself  either.

Must get some xmas tree's rigged and try again.

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Yeh I have seen some stories and pics of long tails being caught off e shed.

I might take a couple hours out and have a put around see if there's any bait schools next time I'm out. Will post uP if there's any love.

SBT and Longtails, has anyone ever caught them out of the same school?

There is an endless amount of bait out wide, not really much harassment going on with it though.
