fished there many times
i am guessing landbased?
The place to fish is the beach to the west called salmon bay. Find a hole and cast mulies into it for salmon in season (near easter), sharks, rays and mulloway.
also catch plump whiting, big herring and flathead and tarwhine.
closer to the settlement by the beach access is a road called whiting rock - you can catch - well small whiting there.
to the west from the settlement at the cliiffs you can access with a rough sand path and climbing some platforms and get salmon, skippy, herring there.
off the cliffs groper are possible but need a bit of luck and patience and herring plentiful. A spot called the chimneys, but you probably won't find it if not a local.
All the best, but very rough.
I like fishing warren beach and Malimup. four wheel driving and tough access.
Best of the best is a place called fish creek - stand on a reef in waist deep water casting off the edge, chance of a groper, king skippy, the mighty buff bream and even a land based dhufish. great for snorkelling, and about 20 miles north of windy harbour, including crossing the gardner river, or 4wd track from Northcliffe.
Boating are standard south west fish including queen snapper, groper, dhuis, red and pink snapper and sharks , sambos, yellow tail kingfish and salmon.
Wise man says - first take the plank out of your own eye before trying to take the speck out of somebody else's.

Good description
Thats a good descroption on what the area has to offer.
Prefer Fish Creek, not a place for the inexperienced though. Have done the climb down the ladder many times and it hard coming back up with fish and all your gear,.

My Uncle lives in Pemberton..
My Uncle lives in Pemberton.. We usually drive the extra hour to Wolpole as the fishing is a lot better than anywhere around Windy.. Plus 'Windy' is called that for a reason....
Avoiding work with Fishwrecked since 2006...
