Hey all.
Im just looking for recomendations for 30lb braid around the 80 dollar mark for 300m. The ones im looking at so far are Sunline Super PE, fins or Tufline.
Whats do you guys think?
Cheers
Danno.

If you're jigging...
...the Varivas Avani Big One is schmick, but you're looking at around $130 on Ebay, for the PE3, rated at 48 lbs. Maybe PE2 is cheaper? It's that 8-weave stuff, top quality, anyone who uses it will know how good it is. Not really necessary if you're just bottom bouncing(Bait) though.

daiwa tournemant is a bit more then 80 bucks but it is very good , i got it on my heavy jiggin outfit
on my lighter jigging combo i use 30lb YGK NITLON PE 3 which is 89 bucks from blue water for 300 metres and i really rate this line its prob the best iv used so far, same with the tournemant

try sun line pe, tuffline or daiwa accudepth.
although it would set you back probably $105 for 300 meters of daiwa accudepth.

Sunline is really well
Sunline is really well priced and i've never heard of someone dissapointed with it, i use fins and powerpro, fins is good stuff imo, but tuffline and sunline are thinner, and tuffline u can get on ebay for a whole lot less, not sure about the quality of it though??

Interesting thread, but read this site
Interesting thread, but read this site before you buy. Paulus tests all the major brands, and some odd ones, with very interesting results.
You can see the Daiwa Saltiga Boat Braid testing well over it's rating, Varivas is often breaking under, and the DSBB also has a smaller diameter than the varivas for equivalent test strengths.

i would throw fins in the bin
i would throw fins in the bin before puting it on my reel to save time coz its gonna end up there very soon. tuf-line is absolutley epic braid and had no issues at all with it and also whiplash and super PE all three are easy my fave mid range pricepoint braids. for your purpose i would chose the super PE but still nothing against the other two.
