Cervantes is a nice spot mate but I presume anywhere that close on a long weekend would be busy enough, how far would you(or the boss ha ha) want to travel, also do you need accommodation ,camp facilities or happy to get off the beaten track, how keen on the fishing is the mrs?do need other activities to brake up the fishing for her,all factors to concider I suppose.
im also very interested in others suggestions for quick weekend fishing camping getaways that i can take the wife on in the future, but unfortunately have to work this weekend!

Kalbarri, Kalbarri, Kalbarri, Kalbarri, or especially with the easterlies try Wagoe, Wagoe, Wagoe and then for a change take the wife into Kalbarri for a nice meal or catch the "Canoe and Cray" Festival on Sunday on the foreshore in Kalbarri !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers

Headin there for the weekend, always big tailor there, could still be some salmon around. Hopin after the recent storms a YTK or a pinkymight show up. Clear sky's, not much swell or wind. Should be a good weekend.

Cheyes is cool
Ive been to cheyenes alot of times.
The good: MIGHT still be some salmon, there are plently of other fish including sampson fish, if you after a easy time there are plently of little fish, you can fish off the beach side or the rocks side and both arnt a far walk, Im pretty sure there is acommodation.
The bad: they have sharks there, the weather can be scary but can be really good and smooth ( research weather tides, rain, wind etc..) , apparently there are some big waves with weather but i havent seen any but be very careful!
If you do go out there just be very careful of weather conditions!
