Where did they go?
Submitted by fab on Sun, 2008-07-13 16:28
Went to the south wall this morning (Hillarys), as i do most weekends, thinking i'll bag a few herring for dinner tonight. WRONG!!! Not one little 'sea rat', not even a bite. What The? All the conditions were the same as other times iv'e gone, but nothing around, apart from those pain in the butt blowies. Does anyone have a theory, or did anyone go this morning and catch something? If you did, please don't rub it in too much.
Cheers Fab

unlucky mate
i was at the north wall yesterday morning (6am) and bagged twenty .. the herring on the south wall are usually there early early from about 6 until about 8 or 9ish from what ive found!
could depend on the tide, wind etc. i have also found that they are there during rough seas ands winds too .. hope that helps a bit ..

I also tend to find there are more on the south wall in the
late arvo and early mornings and burleying makes a big difference.
