Where can I buy DHUfish

Hey Guys,

Where can I buy some Dhu fish fillets, i live south of the river...I had it when I went to Khails in Leederville..one of the best tasting fish i have ever eaten!!!

Oh and another thing before i forget, is Nannygai and Ling any good to eat?

Cheers

Nannygai

IMO nannygai is a better eating fish than dhufish and as you will find a bloody sight cheaper. Ling isn't a fish that we here in WA get to see very often so I suspect its brought over from the east.

Kailis's and Ciccerello's at Freo fishing boat harbour would be a certainty to have it. That is if the pro's have been able to catch any with all the restrictions placed on them. Makes you feel sorry for the bloke who likes a feed of fish and isn't able or capable to catch a feed of quality fish.

really?

apparently Ling can only be caught in a small area in South Australia...yer its sad ay, hopfeully things will change in time, and people stop over fishing or taking undersized fish.

thanks Carnarvonite

Fish van...

...in front of Shell servo in Singleton Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays. They sell pearl perch for $25/kg. Pearl perch are the dhuie's closest cousin and are commonly caught up north and over east...bought a couple filets a few weeks ago and was very similar to dhuie but much cheaper.

Near Tony Ales

Sun, 2010-07-18 04:52

There is an awesome fish shop near Tony Ales Fresh Fruit and Vege in Jandakot. I think the name is Fresh N West and I've seen whole Dhu and Nannygai in there. You can either buy it whole or they will fillet it for you on the spot. Best fish shop in Perth IMO.
