Where to beachfish in Exmouth
Submitted by randall df223 on Thu, 2012-03-01 20:27
A work colleague is holidaying in Exmouth during school holidays and wants to take his young bloke fishing. Beach or jetty, no 4WD. nothing too complicated. Not knowing the area, any suggestions on where to go and what to target?

theres a couple nice beaches
theres a couple nice beaches near the lighthouse bring your poppers, plastics and slices
if you dont really do that, buy some bait, squid, mullies, aswell as some bigger fish, mullet and so on.
can catch anything really and if your keen some big sharks lurking around in the shallows.
Where i went you could fish right next to the rocks and pull in blue bone after blue bone, really fun on bream gear

The access road "tresel" on
The access road "tresel" on the way to tanna boat ramp is great fun on high tide .. oyster rocks near the mildura wreck ... and the bundegi ramp are all good fun

there are plenty of tracks
there are plenty of tracks on the west side leading straight to the beach and no need for a 4x4. any of these locations would be worth a try.there is plenty of reef all along there to try. any where along the beach on the east side near bundegi could also be worth a shot. also there is learmonth jetty which has produced yellowfin bream , queenies and other species.
