Just wondering what is planned for ansac day holiday? Im heading out in the Swan on a mates bream boat to see if the blackies are around in good numbers. Plus ive got that many bream lures that are due to get lost on a snag. Maybe even a heads up on the old fishwrecked invitational!lol. The maybe a landbased bash for some salmon. Have a good weekend boys and stay safe.

Golden Bay this arvo
Heading down there for the weekend. Probably try for some salmon / tailor / herring etc off the beach.
Will be good to get some sand between the toes again.
Cheers

What's a Tailor????? (Hehehe)
We usually pick up some massive yellowfin whiting in the shore break, though I think they may have moved on at this time of year.
Don't care if I don;t catch anything, but will dust off the beach rods and have some fun...you never know.
I'll take a pic if I get anything worth sharing.
Not sure how the super snell will go from the beach (hehehe).
Cheers

Mulla heaven down there
Need to put in the hours after dark though and I am not sure I will be permitted to do so......
I've had a few big runs down there at times and had a 30kg plus fish into the shorebreak once only to be busted off at the last minute.
Cheers

Location
Main carpark at end of street that the little shopping centre is on (Dampier Rd I think) then climb the look out and look for a gutter (changes each time you get there) and go fish it. We usually end up heading North for a few hundred metres and there is usually a good gutter with access to deeper water. This is where the mulla come into casting distance and patrol the gutters taking butterflied Herring and Tailor fillets or the usual mulie on a gang.

Yeah i know the spot. The gutter actually gets up to about 1.5 to 2metres deep at times (i snorkelled it one day) and i have seen some smallist mullas pulled from around there. About another 200m up from that are a series of smaller ones that ive pulled some awsome tailor out of and a good sized gummy shark. I was down there 2 weeks ago and had a look and there was gutters (2) running directly in front of the lookout but i didnt take a rod! Still looks very fishy though, have fun mate talk to you soon.
