whats the better option?

Thinkin about goin to abrholos or mackie islands next yr too catch some proper fish as i am really gettin into fishin and dont hav a boat or kno many spots locally. Anyone who could reccommend which one to goto and what time of the year?  Would like a mix of deep sea fishin and trolling for the macks etc

Early season Abrolhos, I got heaps of both. Late season we still got heaps of bottom fish, but not many spaniards (tuna, sharkies, YTK's still around though).

Went out with Saltwater charters, ummm, three times, plus two turtle dove trips. That should tell you something about how much I enjoyed it :p

Abrolhos means you have to

Abrolhos means you have to be totally self sufficient. Own fuel, food, sleeping on boat etc.

Can be a challenge logistically, particularly if your new to this kind of thing. (personally I live for it)

Mackie Islands gives you a mooring, bed, shower, food, cold beer at a bar, freezer to process your catch and Im sure Drew will throw a few pointers in to find the fish as well.

Done the Abrolhos a few times and would be doing it a whole lot more if it was closer.

Hitting the Mackies for the first time in a couple of weeks. Seems to have plenty to offer but will see what happens.

Seeing as he said he didnt have a boat, I presume he was going to go on a charter? Fuel, food, bedding, mooring, fishing spots all sorted Laughing
