Hahahaha funny read

Hahahaha funny read.

Put a great big smile across my face. Reassuring to know that other people experience the same crap i put up with with some people i bring out on my boat. Always thought maybe i was being to hard on them. Oh well now i dont feel as guilty when i dont re-invite certain peoples out on my boat anymore!

To anyone who has fished with me, if i have taken you out twice or more, you are someone i am happy to have as a deckie.

Interestingly some of the pet hates i think are not only confined to boat fishing. I can think of a few landbased fishing trips in my 4x4 with 'deckies' that have left me feeling the same.

Great read, there is loads of reasons whilst some people only ever make it on your boat once

My ultimate pet hate would be not chipping in for fuel and not bringing any beers,(double whammy!!) only to drink your piss and leave you beerless after the event, could there be any greater insult?? Hence these types only fish once on my boat!!!

This didn't happen to us.  But friend took out a deckie, gets to his favourite spot, gets a dhuie (10kg) looks around and his deckie has a hand held gps (he has boat too) and logging in his friends spot.....never got on friends boat again.

on your boat that they fall into the marina & nearly drown while youre busy trying to dock. Then blame you for turning the boat round suddenly & even threaten you! F-- em , they can sit on the beach or the pub & grog themselves into a stupor for all I care!

A few of mine...

HaHaHa….fantastic stuff!!!

I pretty much always need to provide people with gear and tackle, and for that reason,
the ones regarding the mis-treatment of gear, and needlessly lost terminal tackle are the most common ones for me.

1. High-sticking with MY rod…how many times should I need to mention it???
2. Winding swivel up to rod tip flat out…punching eyelet out of tip runner.
3. Winching fish in with the reel rather than pump and wind, letting the rod take the strain.
4 Continuing to wind furiously, when it should be apparent that the drag is screaming.
5. Letting half a km of line come off the spool before locking up on a snag while drifting.
6. Complaining about retrieving anchor (I already use an Anchor Yanka)
7. Cutting bait or bleeding fish on icebox lid rather than bait table.
8. Tying pathetic knots comprised of 300 granny knots to attach my borrowed sinkers, swivels, and hooks….
without asking me to tie them myself (happy to)

and the MOST annoying…..

9. People that just can’t seem to work out where to position themselves in the boat when under way,
Like, please DO NOT sit on the side of the boat while we are going along!!!

Cheers,

Joe

The smaller the icebox you take, the bigger the fish will be.
