What a difference two weeks makes

Some of you might remember my post from a couple of weeks back when I was part of the team that won the local tournament. It was really shite weather but we managed to come up with the goods. Well yesterday was another tournament day and I couldn't use my boat, issues with insurance - it's a long story...... Anyway I went out with a mate in his 'island' boat and the weather was great. Minimal swell, minimal wind, the sun was out and best of all no rain this time. Worst of all though, no fish this time. We did manage to get my first ever trolled trout so that was a plus. Oh well, you can't win them all.

Outriggers

I'm used to fishing with outriggers now so we had to come up with something that would get four lines out the back.

X-Rap 30

X-Rap 30 Aus and yep a High Fin Coral Trout. Love em. I'd just upgraded the trebles before this session. I caught a smaller trout than this one about half an hour later. Hooked it through the top of the head about 10cm away from it's mouth. Can't beat a quality lure with quality hooks.

Love the colours and markings on the trout you have up there, would be awesome for the aquarium trade if you could culture them.
