Came across this today.its a series of solar panels but the question is what is it powering.i was think fisheries cameras? Was out in the mid 30s

As anyone can see it's an intergalactic space vehicle that has come down to do a bit of spot pinging. LOL
Was it out the back of garden Island, if so it could be something to do with the wave powered generator that provides the electric power for GI

I don't think it would be a camera. More likely some sort of device collecting hydrographic (tide/wave/current/temp etc) data for BOM/IMOS or the like.
