weekends fishing with the boys

we headed over to rotto pretty late sat arvo and got there just before dark,

but after anchoring up with my mate and i got my glass full of the good oil, i got the rods out for the boys.

my young bloke and his cousin(holding the kg) had a ball getting into some hearing, skippy,kg,and a couple of silver bream.

the pb kg for the cousin at 49cm and maybe a few to many jimmys for me.........is 1 bottle to much? no so i give the second one a tickle

got up early to hit the barges with the other 50 boats, but to my suprise....i was not feeling the best and it was a bit choppy out there my stomach said,

so we done some trolling at west end for a while until i was feeling better!!!

the boys picked up a couple of tuna, a first for both of them, my sons one give him a good fight for 10mins,

but the other one was like he wanted to get in the boat.

then we headed out to the barges....need traffic lights out there fore sure......sambo gettin caught every where you looked,

i didnt fish to much as the guts was still not feeling the best, but the boys got onto a couple and also 3 big skippy.

(camera died when i was trying to get pics of the whales)

released no probs, but kept the skippy for bait when the ban comes off.

it was great to see so many f/w members out there getting into them.

it wasnt till about 1pm when i had another couple of jimmys and then i was felling good again.

a good night/day out for the boys, and i am blaming my mate who decided to come at the last minute,

 for getting into the jimmy

cheers ron

Hit up the SBT's with Chuditch and Timmbo today with sporadic success, long time between drinks probably like your next jimmy. Certainly some short sharp chop early on and couldn't be arsed with the barges but buggered off to one later that was well away from the car park out there. Some small sambo's about, Honsu swung by and said the boys were pick up some amber's on the other aye?

FFS Steve you better have been working on that outboard today mate or was it a lazy few brews?

Early on not much tuna action, lots of bait schools but the odd hookup. On the way in a heap of surface action.

steve,  i think if i did give it a good crack something might of been getting streched alright and it woldnt of been the arms.

i dont noramly drink to much when i know am going fishing, but when mates are around we all get 10 feet tall!!!!!!

no paul, we didnt see any surface action at all, just the two while we trolling with no visuals at all , it was a bit sloopy to see anything in the morn anyway.

cheers ron
