Yer cheers guys i went bait
Yer cheers guys i went bait gathering yesturday. Went down to Eshed to see if i could get some scalies or yakkas ( yellowtail scad) but it was quite only 4 yellowtail for a couple of hours work so we moved to some rocks and i noticed some fish hitting things on the surface. They were herring and yellowtail. Caught a couple then it slowed so i put some burley in and they were back.
Ended up with 12 herring and 11 yakkas so some nice beach baits for summer.
The water was fairly clean at the second spot with only dirty water moving through every 10mins or so. So all in all a nice night out with some nice baits ready to go.
No squid tho...

not sure danno but a mate
not sure danno but a mate found this this moning, its a comment from the surf report for mandurah today:
COMMENTS:A few with shape that are throwing a lip every now and then on the beach breaks, but the majority of them are fat. Still a bit of a paddle out to the line up at most locations, but crew have been hooking into some decent size fish in the deep gutters between the beach and the waves.
