I know the dog shooters use that track frequently as we spoke to them a couple of years back. And yep was up there one time when a group of blokes had forced the gate open and had driven up there a ways. Don't blame the station owners for getting pissed off.
the road is not gazetted so private road and not in good condition . The gate is kept shut to stop people getting into trouble (lots of backpackers)and having to go help em out as well as illegal camping .
Some maps show a road that runs through but don’t believe it.
If you go back 40 years it was kept shut so the old owners had cape Farquhar to themselves!

I’d say it was caused by idiots tearing up the tracks on the way through to coral bay. Hasn’t been open through that way for a lot of years.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
