Trolling motor/sounder combos

Hi All,
I've picked up a Commodore marine 4.3m fibreglass side console, which I think was a one off & would have been an old Fraser hull.
It has no sounder combo on it & I like the idea of putting a new sounder and trolling motor combo on, but its something that I have not done before.
I'm chasing some information and advice from guys who have put them on a 4-5m boat, and things that have been good and bad.

go with a brand with the best warranty is all I can say.
ive hade mini Kota and hummingbird sounders , now onto simrad and looking at the recon trolling motors.
lots of money to burn depends on what you want.

Minn Kota. Had one for 13 years never had a problem.
