Glad it wasn't just me & the group I went with then. 40hrs no sleep, fished 5 spots between cervantes & moore river, not one decent fish. Bloody long way to drive for a few snook & herring. The 15cm herrring I caught that ate my 135mm Roosta Popper was quiet amusing but hardly worth the $100 in fuel. That's what you call an expensive bloody fish.

Quite a few sambos hanging around the islands in the shallows, you could probably catch them on poppers, well, hook them at least lol

Similar story ...
I was out of Freo, from 6.30am until 3.00pm. Tried Success Bank, Five Fathom, Stragglers. Managed 3 squid, 12 whiting (kept 4). Saw a nice YTK and good Sambo alongside the boat during the day, but no touches on the silver slice. Still better than working :-)

How was the weather up your way? Launched the boat down here hoping the wind would drop so I could shoot out for a sambo/YTK bash, but it just kept blowing. NE went northly and didn't ease off at all. Managed a few squid in the bay though so wasn't a complete disaster. One was a good size so I'll send it through Ron to start the squid of on the record board.
