The Fisherman92 jokes are coming, I feel it in my bones. There was some mad bastard a few hundred meters off the back of Trigg this moring in a yak. Couldn't see if they were fishing but they had to be a six pack short to be out there at all.

Who will rescue them
What these idiots fail to realise is that if they get in trouble we have to put our lives at risk to rescue them.
I can remember a couple of years ago having to go out in similar weather because a yachty decided to sail from Hillarys to Fremantle and got into trouble.
Unfortunately people like this cannot be charged with stupidity.

seriously people are
seriously people are stupid... it's only water they say.... well water is one of the most powerful forces in the world.. look at the boxing day Tsunami, and more recently Japan. NOTHING can stop it when it's angry.
Having said that, I hope the people that did decide to risk their lives by going out make it back safely without needing help.

devils advocate a little here sure it was choppy but it wasn't too bad in close in the bay east of rocky pt.
Nothing like the washing machine it is on the west coast.
Not saying I'd be too keen to be out there myself in a tinny

Sounds like a religous quote
Sounds like a religous quote there ruste13, each to their own but you won't find any of that crap around me. So long as we are talking about casting though, I keep getting bites, why wouldn't I keep casting?

funny you should mention the boxing day tsunami I was still in Dampier at the time and went for a that dive that day with a mate the water was glassed of but when we jumped in immediately knew something was wrong as the current was just ripping through after about 10 minutes we got out and I said to johnny something isn't right here and we headed home later that night we saw the what had happened with the tsunami on tv the conditions we experienced that day had to be related to it

I was fishing on the Busso
I was fishing on the Busso jetty at the time, I too thought something was weired, the ocean was also glassy and there was a fast current that was going the opposite way to the wind. I spiked the biggest squid I have ever seen in my life as the current was going through, I lost it due to the size and weight of the thing pushing up against the current with the tenticle breaking off on the jig. Something I will remember till the day I kick the bucket.

We couldn't believe
our eyes when we went down to the town jetty on Wednesday morning, watching the waves (massive thru the binoculars) break over the reefs past the green marker & further out, all crayboats were in except for one, saw the dinghy popping up and down. I'll give the the owner the benefit of doubt as he might have gone to Jurien Bay to park the cray boat in the marina but the other side of me said, hope that boat isn't out in this weather retrieving crays. As who would go out and rescue them if they got in trouble as the sea rescue boat couldn't so it would have to be another crayboat or maybe two with the way the seas/wind were running up here in Leeman. Surge was very bad, one fibreglass dinghy had been wrecked, laying with the bow ripped off to the left of the town jetty/boat ramp.
Fellas would that crayboat be covered with their insurance going out in gale force winds?
