Is there any protection from wind at wedge
Submitted by beeroclock on Mon, 2016-02-08 10:07
Going to do an overnighter on the beach at wedge with a couple of mates and just seen its going to be blowing its box off from the south on Saturday arvo. Is there anywhere you can get out of the strong southerly and beach fish in that area? I was there years ago and cant remember if its still good fishing in a horrible southerly wind also does anybody know if its weeded out? cheers for any advice!

With a southerly won't you
With a southerly won't you be casting pretty much into the wind from that corner.
My suggestion would be the at the point. Fishing north.
Plenty tailor and herring there especially more towards the tip.
If you are game ... head towards Grey. Good ground about 1km before it

North side
not if your fishing on the north side of it lol, I thought that was a no brainer *sigh*
but you will need to get there early to reserve that spot as its popular
