Target Specie and your dream catch for summer 2012 / 2013
Submitted by Blue Whaler on Fri, 2012-08-31 13:52
I , for one, cannot wait till the water gets a bit warmer and we can get stretched a bit - this winter must now come to an end.
Aim / target specie for this summer:
Tiger Shark
Monster flattie
Some tasters to get the spirit going.
What is your target specie for this summer?

Just getting out there this summer will be great
After year of disability and some hefty work schedules I am looking forward to getting out there as much as I can without hobbling around all over the place. With the hip fixed I should be better in the swag so I can do some more serious after-dark efforts. Still a bit ginger but things are looking far more positive.
Good luck to the rest of you with you bucket lists.

Want to crack a Blue Marlin
Want to crack a Blue Marlin this year. Got a week towards the end of the year in exmouth dedicated to a big girl.
Other than that I might have a crack at barra again. Havnt had a good go for a couple of seasons now.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Having bought a boat last
Having bought a boat last November that really hasnt provided me with any outings yet... but its back together and needs to be picked up when the dickhead decides to ring me!!! my Spring/Summer bucket list species is still a 60cm KG.... then
A sized Dhu on my own boat with grounds that Ive found myself... Ive got a month and a half to find it then Ill be trying out a heap of spots that look the goods on the charts and hopefully the new HDS10 will help me narrow things down for the KG during the ban
Id also love to crack that Cockburn sound snapper code... might take some hrs, but Im up for it
Who knows, may even get all this sorted just in time to take advaantage of the big ol Spaniards when they hit town...
I just cant wait to get amongst it as the skipper, and Ill be asking for deckies too!! Also a big thanks to all the guys that have put up with me on their boats over the last 12 mnths.. Ive had a ball!!!

The mother off tough fish on light gear -- Bluebone!
Got a legal one +15cm on a matched 2000 reel and stic. Now that was a blast as I wasnt targetting them. Just trying to get some bait with a prawn of dampier.
Would or wouldnt like to tackle a big one with light gear.

Whiting on popper/stickbait - not just one fish but to perfect the technique.
Mulloway on artificial - be it Hard body or soft plastic. Fish needs to crack a Metre to count.
