Trolling?
If your trolling or burlying for these species that reel would be a perfect size

I've got an 8 and its big
I've got an 8 and its big enough to mackies and tuna (braid though). Consider whether you need the two speed though, as the single speeds feel a lot tighter. Never felt the need for a lower speed on either of my talicas (use the rod if you need more power).

I am with hlokk the TAC8
I am with hlokk the TAC8 single speed is a great reel and all you would really need for mackies and tuna. Best fish on my 8 was a 60lb YFT... the reel was faultless.
I fish mine with 300m 50lb braid and a 40lb wind on.

Muscled up a reasonable sized
Muscled up a reasonable sized shark on mine. Was going HARD though :p. Managed to fit about 500m of PE3 for the record (no backing)
