as you've seen my tailor i caught off a south metro beach, davy dont keep trying to get your first tailor in the river unless you have a endless amount of spare time just burley up or as you call it put out a "streak" just wait for a school to swim also if yo udont catch any tailor there lots of herring, flathead and even rays and sharks, just use a whole mulie
personally, when in carnarvon i was using whole mulies baitcasting, grandad was using a mullet fillet, we caught the exact same amount, but mine caught on the whole mulies where significantly bigger, twice the size, i also think mulies looks more natural
anywhere like north mole, or northern beaches should be okay.
me and my bro went fishing this morning and got 5 tailor 3 of them 50cm and 1 58cm and a 45cm one all on baitcasted mulies

Cut a fillet into a nice neat shape
