yer mate, i have launched
yer mate, i have launched many times for overnighters at crawly and never had or seen any issuses at all.
and after hours i think its still free.

having worked as a copper for 19 years some time ago, nowhere is really safe if you are any distance from your car. most of the yacht clubs do have a couple of members patrolling the grounds every night, so the closer you can get to those, the more chance you may have someone eyeballing your car from time to time (having said that - they don't appreciate or allow you to fish from their jetties or beaches). my advice is not to leave anything valuable in the car. even if it has an alarm, the b....st...ds are so quick they'll be gone with your valuables before you can get back to it.
