Hoping to go out a bit further past Carnac Island on Sunday.Maybe the 5 fathom bank.
Have a 4.75 Quintex Bay Hunter. Looking at Sea Breeze and Willy Weather it seen the conditions will be ok. Do you experience boaties agree?
Your opinion would be greatful.

Might get wet
Other than that as long as you dont mind rolling about in the swell it hould be ok.

What do you all think, we had planned to go out Saturday off ocean reef and sit inside 3 mile early, does the forecast look better to go out early Saturday and be back in by lunch or leave it and go out Sunday ?

It's still going to be sloppy
It's still going to be sloppy I would predict , so comes back to you and your boats capabilities ...typically on borderline days , I would sit and squid inside carnac then make the call after watching the breaks around the island

NE wind
Darryl I have the same boat and usually head out 15-20 mile. With the wind being NE and the swell being se offshore you will really get tossed around. In side the sound will be ok though for that boat. Take a sickie on Monday and head out deep.
I was planning on heading out Sunday but I will wait until tomorrow arvo forecast as with thf current one I won't be heading out, if it stays the same I will go for a bag limit of brownie points and take the mrs up the river

We tried in the 1.5m swell on
We tried in the 1.5m swell on wednesday and made it about half way to 5 fathom and turned back. That was in a 5m runabout, we were getting thrown about way too much to fish but the SW wind probably made it worse. Didnt help my mate didnt take any qwells even though he gets seasick in the bath (hes off the deckie list for a while)

Wed
Wednesdays forecast was a little off. Water got better the further out you went in the morning.
Turned into a great arvo.

Sunday looks better
Good to see you are keeping an eye on the weather. In a smaller craft there is a very good saying, if in doubt dont go out.Sunday looks better than Saturday.
