Stern saver

Has anyone got a seaworthy stern pad on back of there glass boat? I bought it online from boat warehouse and in description says jumbo has a strength of 400kgs. When I open packet it says max transducer weight of 3 pounds (1.3kgs). I was planning on fixing a tm260 to it which would weigh at a guess 2kgs. Not sure if I should do it or not

I looked at it as well for a tm258 and opted against it, just in case it did fail and had a 2kg tranny flying around or losing the tranny because it came off and the cable snapped!
I had plans making a block of epoxy on the inside of my transom and screwing into that but just ended up bolting it in with sealant! so far so good!

Fitted a smaller version for
Fitted a smaller version for 3in transducer and is very secure on hull. Did see some info when was researching and some people were adding screws as well as glueing pad to boat for heavier transducers. Kinda defeats purpose but is only one set of holes for screws that are permanent.

All I know is the standard
All I know is the standard TM260 bracket F*#$ing sucks! Ended up drilling mine and secring it with zipties so it would stop popping up and flapping around. Shittest design going for what is meant to be a premium product.
