Stella SW20k handle on Sw10k reel

OK punters

Have both Stella SW10,00 and SW20,000.........both sweet reels, the SW10,000 was perfect for Fiji GT popping and handled  everything I threw at it on PE8 with a SOM 16,000 spool, and tne high speed was great for popping.

The SW20,000 really is a big beast only suited to the very biggest of fish. Put it to good use ona  big YFT in Fiji, glad I had it, any other spin reel would have been pain after the tuna went deep (well, it was pain even with the 20k).

The 20k has been put to pasture until the next big OS trip as it is too big for anything metro (although it may get a gernsey this Friday out at the FADS/Derwent.....).

The 10k is much lighter and more comfortable and I (unlike many others) quite enjoy the higher speed for jigging, but the high speed makes life a bit hard  retrieving deep divers when trolling and bullocking big fish when jigging.......so................my question, can I  run the SW20k handle (which is 1 cm longer) on the SW10k reel to give it more cranking power.

Just tried it and it all looks and feels sweet..............is there any dramas and has  anyone tried it (apart from putting extra stress on the 10k reel)?.

For me, this would be a very cheap alternative to a SOM handle.......

Yep I've tried it.

My wife winds left-handed, I wind right handed. I bought a yumeya long hand for my 20000sw and leave the stock handle as a 'lefty' for her to use.

My 8000sw-pg & 10000sw have identical handles, and while I haven't used it on my 10000sw, I've put the 20k handle on my 8000sw-pg before for her to use and didn't have any issues.

Comparing the yumeya handle to the stock one, the yumeya looks about 1cm longer. Comparing the 20000sw and 10000sw there also appears to be about a 1cm difference. The way I look at it, it's essentially the length of the yumeya 8000/10000sw long handle so it should be okay.
