Probably just bitter Daiwa owners ;)

That said, isn't the new Daiwa range about to be released? That jap fishing show is only a few weeks off?

I own an older 20k PG Stella and it has never let me down, I can only imagine the newer models are more refined, so whatever you've heard is probably only unsubstantiated rumours.

Luke R had issues with one of his new Stella's... But when you own 63 of them (seems as though he has that many) I guess one is bound to have issues.

That said from all reports Shimano were very good in repairing the reel through warranty.

drive out and stripped a couple of teeth all replaced with no hassles.Daiwa has some issues with service i think they take far to long to repair and replace things.Shimano has alot of parts that just hold a part that holds another part to that other part that you dont need.LaughingStill love my hand full of stellas and they will all be going north with me.That being said so will most of the daiwa and a couple of ring ins just in case the stellas sh@t themselves.
