Stella !!!

If Stellas are such a top quality reel, why do I see so many for sale online?

If I was to spend that much money I would be making sure I was getting what I wanted in the first place...

 Some people are just tackle

Some people are just tackle nerds and care more about having the shiniest toy rather than actually catching fish with them...

Stella

This may be getting my wires crossed but I had a stripper over for a bucks party.

Her name was Stella. Nice to use for a short time but we got rid of her at the end of the night.

 I've only sold my Stella's

Sat, 2014-12-20 11:37

I've only sold my Stella's when the new model came out, just upgraded from old to new. Some people get them then never use them for what they're intended for. Only reason I've got some is I only get to fish once a month so when i do go I wanna make sure I've got the best gear to increase my chances for hooking and landing that fish.

Tell yourself you'll just buy one... you end up with a smaller one and a bigger one. I ended up with 4 but cant bring myself to sell them. Favourite is my first 6000pg swb

 I'm with you mate...

I couldn't decide between the 4 or 5000, went with the 5000.

Then decided I would go the 4000 as well. Both serve their own purpose.

Had to pick an Xmas present, so went the 10000. Perfect for those Sambos!

Will never part with any of them .

When I was in Karratha needed

Tue, 2014-12-23 14:08

When I was in Karratha needed a Stella. So got an 10 000. Certainly overkill down here, even on Sambo's IMO. GTs up there was fun on a 10, even though undergunned sometimes for sure when a Gbus turned up. Cant sell it though but others in this situation might.

A bit off topic but:  Before

Wed, 2014-12-24 05:18

A bit off topic but:  Before the SWB series appeared, the going price for a new 2008 Stella was pretty much fixed at US$ 729 (for the 4000-10000 sizes).  In the period just before the release of the SWB series, many stores were selling their '08 models to clear stock.  During this time, I purchased two '08 models at just over AU$ 500- the price was just too good to pass up!  Many other fisho's must have done the same, as the '08 models are now much harder to find, and the current retail price on a new '08 model is $750+.  Maybe Alan Hawk's review of the SWB has something to do with that as well?

As to the original question by randall: The SW10000 which I purchased is brand new still, patiently waiting for the right fishing trip to come along.  I may decide to sell it, and that may again prompt the question about why people are not buying the right reel for their needs :)

Merry Christmas to all!
