Lucky chap
I used to take my 13ft tinny and camp at Shelter Bay which is a fantastic spot.
Did 90% of fishing in South Passage from opposite the Fault Line and the point to around and up the East side of DHI. Zillions of under size pinkies and other stuff up there. But from the tip of DHI to the west we always cleaned up on big Pinkies , Baldies , Spangled Emperor, and of course Black Snapper. Sharks and other big unstopables at night time all through there to give you some fun....lol.
Never fished the cliffs so will leave that to someone else to comment .
Good luck with the trip.....

We will be up there in May. Around the fault line & west side of DHI around the corner are the best chance spots.
As mentioned, just be careful on an outgoing big tide in a small tinnie, the current can drag you & your anchor into deeper exposed waters. Our tides when we are there are reasonably moderate so hopefully we have no issues.
Enjoy it there, it is a great spot.

Just watch the pressure wave
Just watch the pressure wave that runs across the fault line when the tide is running hard, especially if its windy. It can rear up quite high and might give you a moment !

I have the Prevail and the
I have the Prevail and the Amia, the Amia shits all over the prevail for casting distance.
The Demon blood 962h and the Spinmaster series will be better options if your budget allows.

Cheers for the replies
Cheers for the replies everyone will be good to have the extra options of the dinghy. Looking forward to goid weather hopefully not to worried about the heat we're normally at False Entrance in early Feb.
Sounds like the Assassin might be the way to go in that price range.
