steep point

hey guys thought i'd do a quick report just got back from steep point weather was pretty average but ended up with some nice fish including a pb 24kilo wahoo as pictured caught a few macks plenty of small tuna also caught my first yellow thin tuna about 8kg not a bad trip the gear i was using was a bit of overkill so next will go lighter

Couple of decent macks there, good effort. North or south of the point? Was the yellowfin on the troll? We were up there a couple of months back and got about 2 good days out of 10, can't pick the weather though. Great place though!

yeh around past
yeh around past washingmachine, yeh caught most of the fish trolling,tried balloons but no joy

aways good to get away for a fishing trip. even if the weather turns bad at least you have got away and giving it a go. a couple of nice fish there, you cant complain about them. well done on the pb who. looks to be a greatsize

Wahoo, what a great fish.
We nailed one out from Steep last month, and couldn't believe the speed it took off at...

Did you tow the boat in or run across from Denham ?

Next time
We were camped at Denham and spent a few days fishing out from Turtle Bay, but only got 1 day out from Steep and that was trolling only, would love to spend a week or so fishing from Steep, maybe next year..............
