Get your jig as close to the bottom as you can without snagging up and jerk it a bit ,use a Pink jig thats a good allround colour and if you catch a squid make sure the next cast is exactly where you caught the last one,as they travell together or their might be others around as its a good patch for squid,,
As mentioned by Shorty, fish close to the bottom. If you do hook one, wind it gently and look out for more behind it but dont tell your Dad, just have 2 rods rigged so you can cast the next one out straight away.

mate, ask your dad about a pm i sent him regarding squidding a couple of months ago. if i can remember properly, it had most of what you should need to know in it. make sure he shows you ;)

cheeky buggers might not get there bums in the boat the way they are going.
and just to clarify...fisho-rons boat has been doing ok latly..fish and squid.
maybe if they help wash the boat they might get in it a bit more often
