Squid jigs

Hey all, quick question. When squidding do you guys use a snap swivel or tie directly to the lure?

I know the snap swivel is easier to change jigs but just wondering if they change the action too much?

 i've always tied straight to 10lb give or take is easy to tie i just run a long leader so i can chop and change til i find what works
