squid close to fremantle harbour?

I am planning on launching in the river on sunday morning and heading out though the harbour.
Want to get some squid first up and the navionics app tells me there is a squid spot about 0.3 nm off the rock wall of FSC. Has anyone tried there and how was it? I may stop here and check it out and if no good head to Parmelia bank or garden island.
Then the plan is to troll FFB for tuna or macks and keep an eye out for any sambo jigging opportunities.
Looks like the seabreeze will come in before lunch so it may be back into the river for some trolling for tailor later in the day.

Try the south side of the south mole, i.e the Challenger boat harbour side. There is sea grass in abundance, and also some broken bottom with rock/shallow reef toward the proximal end, just past the bend in the road beyond the Tafe/J shed. Also a good spot for skippy and snook. I've not been there in a while, but have done well there before.
Please PM me and tell if you find some, as I'd like to try that area from the mole myself this weekend.
Caveat: Of course you will find them where you find them, no guarantees in fishing as you know....
Good luck with the Mackies.
PS: Have wondered if these would work for Mackerel- lots of side roll and flash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbVZXqfSkMs. The22cm one looks like a good candidate.

Cheers for that. I think I know the ground you're talking about. My young bloke free dives off the beach there for occys.
Those lures look the go. Probably on a slower troll speed? I generally use halco GTs and laser pro's at about 6.5 kts, which may be a touch fast for those lures. Do you know what the recommended troll speed is?

Cast and retrieve
Looks interesting but more from a cast and retrieve for Tailor and the like. Not sure how that wobble would go at 6+ knots.
