Squid

Having a bit of trouble getting squid consistently from Oceanreef.
Moved around a lot today for very little.
Fished 3m to 12m. Big bommies to patchy weed to big areas full of weed.
Jigs we tried were mainly razor backs size 2-4 blue, green, orange and pink.
The other day we had 4 in 2 mins and all big, then after that nothing.
Any tips?

get some quality jigs, I used razor backs and got little to nothing. Then I tried yo-zuri and cleaned up. Yesterday I went squiding in the sound for 45min and got about 15.
Bring on April

Yeah don't really want to
Yeah don't really want to drive all the way down there, as it is normally just a decision to try it if the weather is crap.
Will have a look at other jigs.

Not sure if it is the type
Not sure if it is the type of weed maybe, but we hit a patch in 10m and pulled out 4 real quick. We seem to be fishing on red/brown weed.
Maybe we'll have to go down to the sound
Thanks matt, was going to give you a call today but was a bit late. Tomorrow

Go to the sound
Have given ocean reef/pinaroo point/hillarys alot of time dean and with quality jigs.Just spend the time and head down to the sound.Flat calm overcast days on dusk have been the best.Go the yo zuri, got some more from honsu today. My last lot have lasted me three years.I keep one on a hand line on the boat when fishing and if a squid follows up a fish I drop in the jig.You soon see the jigs the squid hit straight away
