South Australian Fleurieu Peninsula Salmon

just a short report here, went for a fish today at a new spot on the Fleurieu Peninsula mainly rock fishing as you will see in pictures.
arrived at 12 and left at 4. all bait fishing pillies
nothing to really brag about here but jst giving a bit of insite of South Australian fishing
caught a total of
20 Australian Salmon
5 Salmon trout
1 Mullet and
1 Flathead

rock fishing...
suspect from the horizon line that that rock fishing pic is not quite as extreme as it looks, however still a good catch....

salmon trout??? ... what the
salmon trout??? ... what the **** is that? I know what trout are - fresh and salt water.. and i know what salmon are, also the aussie version.
Never heard of a salmon trout. Are there any in your pics, they look like what you call an aussie salmon. apart from the flathead.
Good haul, some taste fish there. Should try smoking some of those fish. mmmmmm mmmmm mmm

Salmon trout
Small Australian salmon have have always been known as salmon trout at least untill they get to around 1-1.5kg
Pillies??? this is a WA site and here where most of them are caught they are known as mulies ---not the mullies or pillies they call them over there.

with there distingishing blue dots
we have juveniles here called salon trout i threw them all back thery only grow to about 40cm
but they have yellow dots instead of blue really there jst a juvenile australian salmon
in this pic below they are salmon trout

hey i saw this post and i had to sign up to ask one question, but i have a feeling i may not get an answer.
where is this? :P im heading down this week and need a descent place to fish other than jetties.
