hello all.im hoping that someone might be able to give me a bit of help or advice. im looking at buying a lowrance HDS8 with the side and structure scan upgrade. I was wondering if anyone has one or has used one? are they any good? what depth does the side and structure scan work too? maybe someone has some real time scans they have recordered that they would be willing to share. any advice or experiance that anyone would like to share would be greatly apreciated. thanks.

Structure scan
What do you want from your sounder is what you need to looking for. structure scan is great for in shallow water up to 90mt down and 35m the the side. Its ideally suited for the bream fishos or barra fishing as you need to look out into the snags to see whats there, or if your diving and looking for good ground or wrecks or even openings to caves. If your chasing a good sounder and not interested in that put your money towards a 1kw tranny to suit or another brand with a 1kw. Or if your stuck give us a call and one of us will be able to help you out and put you in the right direction.
