So many slackers!

How is it that on the busiest week of the year there are so many people getting out for a fish midweek and not at work!!!!!!
Okay, maybe I'm just a little jealous that you've all been puling in fish while I've been working my ass off... luckily today was my last day at work! If only the weather was looking better down south where I'm headed for christmas :( might be a while till I get out and into some decant fish.
But seriously, how do you guys manage to get out midweek so often? (JohnF you slacker!)

Good things will come to
Good things will come to those who wait... though apparently that doesn't apply to the weather. Shoulda snuck out tomorrow morning instead of packing for holidays... if only everything wasn't being packed into the boat!

I fished Monday and Tuesday,
I fished Monday and Tuesday, not even fresh fish and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen has softened the blow so far.
Wait to see what happens when I try and get a leave pass for some xmas crays!

Day off to fish
Being self employed does allow me the luxury of taking a day off during the week to go fishing if the weather is good. The upside is the chance to land a fish or two, BUT it's a day's work I'll have to make up somewhere else otherwise my timesheet looks a bit thin. Between midweek fishing trips and knocking off early on Fridays to play golf...it's a tough gig but somebody's got to do it
Let's hope we all get some better weather over the Christmas/New Year break....Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous 2011 to you all.

I'm also self employed. It
I'm also self employed. It does allow you to take the time off.. but then you start thinking of the loss of income due to your day off... not even an option for the last few weeks with the "I need my fence done before christmas" rush. Also the problem is that the good weather days that are the best for fishing are usually the best for working also.

i get sick of seeing
i get sick of seeing everyone going out fishing full stop. when you run a 7 day a week business either i am working or Sandy is, so no fishing at all on this front. we were looking forward to 25th and 26th december but the winds have changed again and looking doubtful that we will get out at all
.good luck to those that get out there and get a slab of fresh fish for xmas lunch
