Snapper this Friday 3rd

this friday arvo looks like great conditions
will be heading out in the afternoon from Hillarys and thinking of anchoring and burleying up behind 3mile as the sun goes down
and hopefully getting into some snapper though i am not sure whats better behind 3 mile or in front of 3 mile or moving around ?
any better suggestions would be appreciated to get the snapper hook up

Structure
I typically find a bit of structure and anchor just off it so my burley trail will drift onto it. I know some people move around if they don't get bites within 20-30min but I like to sit and wait it out.
I've stopped using baits and now target them on sp's.

I mostly anchor and burley
I mostly anchor and burley behind the 3mile myself. But I've also done well inside it. I think it depends more on the ground or lump your fishing then inside or outside the 3. As paj man said, just find a lump, anchor up and weight. I don't move spots, I just sit and weight for them to come to me. Sometimes they are there pretty quick. Other times can take and hour or so.

should be on the water by
should be on the water by 2pm to get some whiting for the esky and for bait
then find some ground an hour befor sun down to anchor on n burly up!
ill be out there in a 6mtr walk around trailcraft
