Snapper bash

 

    • Hey guys
    • Thinking of headin out Saturday morning for a snapper fish, thinking try out the back of garden island around some reef, burley up oh drift? And pointers oh starting points would be awesome any advice well appreciated!!

nothing too huge  anchor and burley catch some yellowtail or whiting for bait and kick back and wait!

Thanks mate, any certain rig that has the best results ? I was gonna try float some mullies out into a Burley trail ?

Snell 6-0 or 7-0 hooks on a 80lb+ leader.

Mullies wont last long, Yellowtail, whiting, small squid scallies and a carton of beer

 of the FiveF, When on anchore i try to find the hard flat coral to avoid the reef with the moving boat.

 Even though the weather looks good, the berley is a must and an hour both sides of sun up is best.

 I use snelled 6/0 with a bean sinker, just float it down and let is sit. check ya bait because of the pickers.

thanks for the tips guys, gonna give it a crack saturday, in wat metres of water should we expect to find some decent lumps? 20-30-40?
