Slam Soft Plastics

G'dayy fellahs

I've done heaps of fishing with Berkley Gulp jerk shads and had very satisfying results.

Was cruising around on Ebay annd came across the Slam soft plastics.  At only $4.95 i guess it wouldnt hurt to try them out.

But i was wondering if anyone else has used them before and how they performed??

Any info appreciated :)

A mate of mine bought some in the 3 inch and they were way too stiff in comparison to other brands for my liking.

In my opinion they lack action as much as a Gulp, but dont have the bait qualities that Gulp has

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Hi

Brought a heap of 5" & 7" when Mo Tackle had them on special. Jacks, goldies cod etc eat them up. Prefer the 7" even for smaller species. Caught some jack on the 5" last weekend.

Mate i would say you are better off spending your money on one packet of decent plastics for 10 bucks than get two packs of slams which are sub standard in my opinion.

We took a heap of the 7-inch

We took a heap of the 7-inch models for up north last year, Motackle was throwing them out dirt cheap like CCC mentioned.  They were good for up there, especially given the rate you go through them but I don't use them in metro waters, I reckon they're too stiff for my liking.

I dont like the Slam Either .

We have a local manufature here , and most of th guys here fish with Mc Cartys , Does not have the Gulp Sent , but are a fraction of the price , and works just as good , they also have Giant Shads , and Paddle tails which we hammer the Kob [your Mulloway ] on from the surf !

have a look at thier Website :www.mcarthybaits.co.za .

those 7 inch Paddletails are the best , I love fishing them , also you can push a glass rattle inside the paddle , and Mulloway [our Kob ] goes nuts for it !!!
