Sinkers

Hi Guys,

Looking for any tips on how to make 50oz to 1kg sinker or get a sinker mould that big

Would appreciate any info you guys have

If you want to do it cheap

If you want to do it cheap (and more labour intensive) make yourself a mold from plaster. Make your shape from something (can be wood or even modelling clay) and then cast 2 halves of it and there is your mold. This mold will last you few cycles, I guess. If you want something more durable, CNC machining in aluminium would be the go.

can be used a mould.  A section of 40mm diameter x 100mm long lead weights 50 ounces.

 i have been lucky enough to get hold of 32mm round reo bar, which i chop up into 4'& 5' sizes wich gives me 24oz and 30oz, weld a washer to the top and my sinkers cost me nothing.

 saturday i lost about 7 out at the 3 mile, thank god they are free.

cut the top of aluminium soft drink cans like a coke can .fill to the desired weight .obviously have a bent bit of coat hanger wire or there abouts in the can to form an eyelet and there ya go .either leave in can or tear off can just leaving the lead itself .hope youve got a lot of lead!!!
