when I got back from o/s last week I noticed there was a bit of a stain on the pavers under my outboards leg (80 hp yamy only done 47 hrs) I wiped my finger over it and it is oil and I noticed a tiny drop hanging of the leg , the boat had been sitting for 4 weeks while I was away I cant find where the oil is from it is just there , I am guessing less than quarter of a thimble full to make the stain it has made , should I be worried its still under warranty

Under warranty just take it
Under warranty just take it back haha. I would expect a bit out of a 2 stroke especially in the run in period but not from a new 4 stroke.
What motor ?

Is it pure clean oil or
Is it pure clean oil or darker engine oil?
get a bit of white A4 paper and put the drop on it and see.
Compare to a drop off the dipstick.
then clean it thoroughly and watch over the next week or two for the source. Could be just the seal washer in the leg drain bung.

Either the leg is leaking or
Either the leg is leaking or the engine has an oil leak like from the oil pump and is running down the shaft and out the leg
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

smell
does it smell like gear oil or engine oil ?
They are totally different smelling oils and should be easy for you to tell apart.

Drain plug
Good chance its from the drain plug at the bottom of the leg. I've had that happen after a service when the mechanic/apprentice hasn't done it up tightly.

check the oil filters tight,
check the oil filters tight, sometimes a slight leak can run down through the leg if it has loosened off a bit.

maybe take the prop off and
maybe take the prop off and check that there isn't any line or braid wrapped around the prop shaft. Might be wearing the shaft seal.
