was fishing for tailor last night on a rockwall perth metro landed a few 40cm fish then this shark took off like a rocket on a 20lb fluro carbon leader was thinking bronzie or reef shark any help would be good thanks

Hard to tell, but think not bronzy. Those eyes make me think spinner plus the shape tail.
Help others.
PS - Bronzy's eyes are set in colour usually

From what I can see it looks like a bronzy.
This is the time of the year that they are usually close inshore at night so would expect more pics of catches showing up on the site

Spinner (long nose grey) for sure, juvenile bronzies are a bit stockier and have a shorter nose.
Can't really tell in the photo but spinners also usually have black tips on some of their fins

didnt have any black tips
and i always thought spinners jumped this hit the bait on the surface and splashed around alot but didnt jump

Long nose greys for me, have caught plenty off the beaches this time of year. As for it jumping every fish is different, I've had carp stingrays etc jump and had salmon fighting on the bottom all the way to the boat in 3m of water

yeah was a good fight hey only using pe 2 braid and 20lb leader was caught on your local rockwall
