hi guys, does any one know were i can buy some 200lb or 300lb black coated wire. the only place i can find it is kamikazi online shop and ebay. does anyone know any shops in perth south of the river?

they definantly have the non-coated stuff, and last time i checked they had the coated wire as well

yep standard stock in most tackle stores, scarbs blue water though not SOR....so would imagine site sponsors or myaree TW should have it.
I got sharked on a whole herring last night (2nd 7/0 circle on the snell). 80lb mono and 2 good circles snelled usually works for me but I wound in a head and 1 hook last night without even registering a bite (or I may have missed it?!). Will be on the wire next week. 2-300 is heavy going, what are you chasing?

going back a few years but
going back a few years but used to be hard to come by anything coated over 150lb, and when you could it was about about 3X the price of online. All for supporting local, but some times its just unreasonable.
Having said that, theres way more shark fishing gear in shops now than there used to be, so could be a different story.

i am targeting 2 to 3m
i am targeting 2 to 3m sharks and in all tackle shops they only sell black coated wire up to 100lb.
