We used to get decent snapper & squid off the main jetty in town - I'm sure there are much better options though.

Or If you have a 4x4 head to cape peron

Just out of town on the same road that leads to monkey mia is good providing you have a 4+4, this will also give you the best protection from the wind that is usally around this time of year.

I think there are three main tracks you can take once in the park (gold coin donation) we choose the middle and longest one which gets a bit bumpy but was a good day in the end,

The daughter landed a few fish as the photos shows and the big rod went off within 10mins only to be snapped off (Shark i would presume) people told us there is usaully plenty of tailor in the same bay but we never got on to them.

Take a packed lunch, plenty of water and let ya tyres down.

Monkey Mia

Fish the point at Monkey Mia at dusk and after dark. Its a lottery there, anything is possible.

I have landed Big sharks, Tailor, Pinkies and a 22kg Mulloway in the past. One of my favourite fishing spots.
