With the big craze on Yellow Tail/Tuna shallow water stick bait or popping has any one tried this on Samson Fish.
The five fathom up to and into winter holds quite a few fish in all size ranges

Have burlied them up in
Have burlied them up in 20-25m off metro and stickbaited them.
I'd imagine it'd be tough work but definately possible. North of perth around Jurien or even better the Abrolhos would be the go, especially no just for Sambos

Cheers Sam.I was thinking
Cheers Sam.
I was thinking along the Bouvard Reef off Preston and also James Service the Horse Shoe etc..
Burely would be the key i would imagine and the end of summer seems when they are more frequently in the shallows.
I know of a good lump in the thirtys which hold Sambos all year all though only rats i reakon a sinking Pandora would bring some ation.
Something to scatch the itch any way.
