sambo jigging combo

 hey guys

iv got my self a daiwa saltist ld 40 2 speed loaded up with 50lb braid. it is matched with a shimano t-curve 200 deep jig.

i want to get into more jigging and just wondering if this will stop a sambo of average size.

It will handle the biggest sambos around but in really rough country they will cut you off with twice the drag that reel puts out and 100lb braid! Cheers

Plenty enough in deep water.

Plenty enough in deep water. I run PE3 (40lb) most of the time but for shallow water sambos you really need PE5 (60 lb) to stop the big ones consistently, still get knocked off a few times it they hit the jig near the bottom on big (_25 kg) jobbies.

Overhead an advantage as yoy have more cranking power, you may need to upgrade drag to carbontex as most overhead drags are a bit light on with standard drag stacks.
