looking at getting a medium heavy duty saltwater reel for offshore use and off the beach i was looking at putting 15kg braid on it i am willing to spend around $350 cheaper if i can but i want a reel that will last me a long time.
ive been looking at the shimano saragosa 6000 size or the penn slammer 560. but not sure if the penn slammer would be up to the task, any advice would be great thanks.
cheers Ethan

Daiwa Seagate 4500H
Mate you may have to order it but just got mine for jigging and offshore use.Its basically what the Daiwa Saltist spin will be when released but was released for the asian market. The only difference i can see is the seagate has 8 bearing where the saltist has 6.Will hold 300+ meters of 30lb easy.I could'nt be happier for $350 bucks.

You got a budget to work on the whole outfit? inc braid.

Fin Nor
Fin nor offshore 075,085 or the big daddy 095, holds up to 600m of 100lb braid, put a $hit load of mono on it and top shot it with 300m 15 kg braid .
Only problem with them is no instant anti reverse (it has a good anti reverse but not instant), big plus is the massive drag they have, and there around $200.
I have used the 075 out on the Derwent chasing Snapper, Sambo's and Amberjacks and loaded up with PE8 had no problem with it, you can jig with it but it's a bit klunky (like a penn 950SS) one TUFF reel, one superb drag.
(I have seen one catch about 14 Sambo's in 1 day and only needed a wash down at the end of the day to go back out there to do it all again)
I have no affiliation with any tackle I recommend. (Daniel Westerduin has one and loves it)

spheros 14000-18000
probably get one spooled with braid for 350bux. easy to get a drag upgrade for minimal coin and its a strong reel, smooth as, no frills.
Caned mine for last 3 years and not much maintenance its still dragging 5-6' noahs outta 100m. probably wants new drag washers now tho, haha
good luck.

so fellas ive narrowed it down to 3 reels saragosa 6000 or 8000 which i think might be a bit bulky the daiwa seagate 4500 or the daiwa capricorn 4500 also what rod would you team them up on for what ive got in mind.
