Salt away

Does anyone use this?
Is fresh water enough to keep salt away, some of the jetski service centers are saying to use salt away and some are saying u can't beat fresh water?

Im in 2 minds about it-I bought some and flushed then pulled an anode to have a look again and didnt see much change after using about $5 worth of it. Maybe I did something wrong?
I like to just fire each of mine up and idle it for 10 while I scrub up-the 4 strokes are like music at idle

Seadoo Perth
Might phone the guys at seadoo sport and leisure tomorrow and see what they say, some other places say it is required. Is that just because they stock it and need to move it on?

Not into the skis myself but a mate of mine is heavily into racing them. I know he only uses freshwater for his & that they are mostly used in saltwater.

This video clip will explain
This video clip will explain a lot for you regarding the flushing procedure for your Ski.
I don't use salt away-I only flush with tap water after each ride.I have done 200hrs on the Ski,and no problems.
It's really important not to turn the tap on without the motor running(you will fill the motor up with water) and the same when you turn the engine off, always turn the tap off first.
Then give the engine a couple of short rev's to clear the remaining water out of the engine.

Thanks Moking, where do you get your ski serviced and how often. They said I require the first one after 10 hours?

Yes that's correct if your
Yes that's correct if your ski is new, then the first service is at 10hrs.
Oil and filter will be changed, and check over. After that,I do my own every 50 hours. You also need to remove the sparkplugs every service, put antiseize grease on the plug threads, otherwise they will get tight and strip the thread in the head.
Our fishing jetski's don't get a hard time,ie. no wave jumping/racing,so normally all you will need is the oil/filter to be changed.
