West coast are a better side now than they were last year...is that fair to say ?
Our mids will struggle....We have a decent back and forward line which should hold up ok, the outcome is a no brainer but still keen to see how we perform against the comp bench mark....hoping to at least put in a solid performance from start to finish.

Our sluggish starts are a worry but we've settled into games nicely apart from that rd1 disaster and look more dangerous with the addition of Allen and the line breaking pace of Petch but JD is still to hit his straps.
With Freo’s ins it looks like they are looking to exploit our main weakness which is fast ball movement set up by sharp handballs out of congestion like Brisbane in rd1 and Essendon and Saints last season but the ball movement inside 50 needs to be short, low and precise otherwise it’s going to get very ugly on the turnover. I reckon we’ll see Sonny boy (that Swan Districts premiership champion) setting up in position to be one of the main players kicking into Freo’s forward 50.

That was a big noticeable difference during the JLT game....slow start with Freo pushing into the own 50 with ease, But agree, once Reoli and Ryan in particular starting spreading it the game opened right up...Ross didn't / couldn't stop it during that game.
Haven't seen much schultz or switkowski but will see how they go when there turn comes, both smalls as you say...Saints pressure and hardness last week was first class so we have had a warm up.

Brave effort from Dockers to push the Eagles, lots of missed opportunity but gave it a crack. No skipper and Hamling down early didnt help but onwards and upwards..
Also great effort by Eagles supporters at the game, firstly for a good atmosphere - only booed the umpires which they deserved and also for the 58,000 crowd - awesome to see full.

Free kicks, We ended up +5. But we deserved it, we were harder at the contest, as proven by having more contested possessions and tackles. We weren't being gifted free kicks, West Coast just weren't getting gifted the extra dozen or so they normally con out of the umpires playing us, that alone pissed you guys off. There were some iffy calls both ways but I didn't think it was over umpired and I don't think it impacted the result either way in the end - which is exactly what you want from umpires.

Frosty since you are great with finding little fun snippets of the past could you find the video of WCE fans booing and jeering at Lewis Jetta when he did his little war dance after a goal when Sydney played over here and Eagles fans were constantly booing Adam Goodes in 2015?
I loved the way Simpson said he thought WC supporters were better than that, but he found out they weren’t..But the next year he was traded to WC and they cheered and screamed when he did his thing..
Ive always found that to be a great relflection of the internal quality of WC supporters. Give yourselves a pat on the back team!!

i was waiting for circus/clown music to be played on the PA all night....was a pathetic game of football all round.
Worst game I’ve watched live in a decade. No winners tonight. football it’self lost big time.

I watched it on tv and thought it was a good game. The pressure was huge for the whole game. But I can see how it would of been a bit of a dull game to watch at the ground. I saw Freo vs St Kilda and it wasn't a good spectacle live. The Eagles have got Geelong and Port and I reckon that game might leave them a bit flat.
